ADA-Compliant Pool and Spa Access Lifts Parrish Pools Co., Inc. carries a Full Line of ADA-Compliant Swimming Pool and Spa Handicap Access Lifts. Swimming Pool Accessible Equipment or perhaps better phrased as Pool Accessible Equipment for People with Special Needs is absolutely required for swimming pools, spas, and all recreational facilities by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). New rules have been adopted into ADA-compliant building codes for new and existing recreational facilities, including swimming pools and spas. These standards will became federal law on March 15, 2011, and compliance is required by March 15, 2012. This is a federal civil law awarding pool and spa accessibility to people with special needs. ADA Pool Lifts are available in hydraulic or can be Battery-Operated. We have found that Battery-Operated Lifts are the Most Reliable type of Lifts. Lifts are available either as permanent, semi-permanent, or portable installations. It is also important to note that at least one (1) lift is required per body of water. (There is No Sharing of Lifts between pools and/or spas.)
