Aqua Creek's Response to DOJ Guidance on Pool Lifts (Press Release by Aqua Creek on Feb 21, 2012)

Aqua Creek offers "fixed" solutions for portables and sleeve anchors.  During a recent meeting between the Department of Justice and the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA), some clarifications were made by the Department of Justice in answer to questions posed by the AH&LA regarding pool lifts.  The main clarifications made were:

      1.     Facilities cannot use one lift to serve multiple bodies of water
2.     Lifts must be in place and operable at pool side during operating hours.
3.     Portable lifts are ok to use but must be "fixed" to the deck so that tools are required to remove the unit.

All Aqua Creek Ranger™ and Pro Pool™ Lifts already meet the new "fixed" requirements, there is no need to change or update these products.

All Aqua Creek Portable Lifts can be field convertible to an anchored lift with the simple purchase of a Pro Pool™/Ranger™ anchor system and a new base plate.  The lift can simply be removed from the counter weighted cart and anchored. 

Additionally, Aqua Creek has created a new product to “fix” the Patriot™ and Rebel™ Portable lifts while on the cart, to the pool deck.  The "Dock Block" will be available for the Rebel™ and Patriot™ Lifts and is designed to be affixed to the deck through openings in the base of the Rebel™ and Patriot™ carts using epoxy cement and securing to the lift base using a cross bar.
