Each of the stands in the Steel Meter Stand Series is intended for moderate to heavy duty use with a very wide range of boards and board lengths on top residential and commercial pools. Standard Features There are three (3) basic stands in the Steel Meter Diving Stand Series. Although site and installation requirements will determine the actual stand sizes and board heights, the three stands of this series have taken their name from recognized international conventions and typical standards. They are referred to as the 1/2 Meter Stand (for the use with 8-foot and 10 foot boards), the 3/4 Meter Stand (for the use with the 10-foot and 12-foot boards and the 1 Meter Stand (also for use with the 10 foot and 12 foot boards). Note that while all of these unites are of similar design, installation and intent the length of the tray upon which the board rests will vary depending upon the board length. As a result, there are two potential model numbers for each stand. The steel components of the Steel Meter Diving Stands are powder-coated in Radiant White to contrast, complement and accent the boards chosen. All models of the Steel Meter Diving Stand are equipped with a calcium device and each is provided with a Uni-Mount jig and hardware to simplify ease and speed installation. Hardware necessary for the mounting of the board to the stand is provided with the board. ANSI/NSPI standards require steps or ladders with some stands 21 inches for public pools and 24 inches for residential pool. A step is there fore affixed to the rear of the 3/4 Meter and 1 Meter Stand while there is no step with the 1/2 Meter Stand. All stands of this series have been pre-drilled to accept handrails. However they are not included as a component and must be ordered separately. Handrails Commercial Diving Boards The commercial diving board is sold separately and is available in either aluminum or wooden encased in fiberglass. Available in white, tile blue, or marine blue. Special Note Diving boards including spring boards, jump boards and starting platforms shall be installed only on pools meeting or exceeding the minimum requirements for the various pool types as outlined in the current edition of ANSI/NSPI-1 for Public Pools, ANSI/NSPI-5 for Residential Pools. In addition, all installations must meet or exceed applicable codes with installation accomplished in accordance with written instructions.
